Osama bin Laden and the Armchair Critics (Screed #41)

May 7, 2011…

We have to say that we are inflamed at the mounting criticisms that are being made in Europe, Pakistan and by armchair critics like Michael Moore that we didn’t handle the capture of Osama bin Laden fairly or legally. They believe we should have taken him alive and put him on trial. Why? So that he could make a mockery of our judicial system and gloat in front of the cameras and incite more mindless recruits to join his diabolical cause? So that we can waste millions of tax dollars to come to the conclusion that we already know? Either we put him to death now or we do it later. The man was clearly guilty and he even admitted it himself.  He also said many times that he would never be taken alive. What about if he had had a bomb strapped to him? The mission was risky and dangerous enough — should they have taken even more risks in capturing him? Everyone is playing Monday morning quarterback now.

We believe that everyone has rights, but when you have caused the death of thousands of innocent people, and ruined the lives of all their families and friends, and made the world a much less safer place, not to mention inciting your followers to commit cold-blooded murder, then the hell with your rights. He changed the entire world forever, and not for the better. As we said here the other day — good riddance to that piece of garbage! He deserves nobody’s sympathy. He’s certainly not getting ours. We treated him with far more respect then he and his followers ever treated any one of us.

Bin Laden caused nothing but pain, misery and suffering in his life and for ten years America lived with this open, festering wound. May his justified death bring closure to all the people who lost loved ones because of what he wrought.

We also want to say that we don’t believe Pakistan for one second in their claims that they had no idea he was in their country.  He was living there, supposedly, since 2006 and they never realized it? That’s complete and utter bullshit and they know it. And if they are not lying, then it just shows how incompetent they are. They are clearly not to be trusted, and have no business telling us how we should have handled this matter. This was personal and we handled it in a personal way. We vowed many years ago to capture him dead or alive, and that’s just what we finally did. His death was long overdue but in the end he got what was coming to him.

We should not have to apologize to anyone for that.

The Justified End of Osama bin Laden (Screed #40)

May 2, 2011…

This will probably be the happiest screed we have ever written here at Eclairé A Pensé. In a very surprising and dramatic turn of events Osama bin Laden, the world’s most hunted terrorist and mastermind behind 9/11 (among many other terrorist acts) is finally dead! All we can say is good riddance!! It’s been a long, long time coming, as we all know, with thousands of innocent lives lost, trillions of dollars spent, wars fought and much pain and suffering — all because of one diabolically evil, worthless subhuman — but with two shots, justice was finally served. Most people thought bin Laden would never be captured, and perhaps he, himself, thought we had long given up on him but as the old saying goes, “Revenge is a dish best served cold.”

Bin Laden can now join Adolf Hitler, Idi Amin, Saddam Hussein, Ayatollah Khomeini, Attila the Hun, Pol Pot, Joseph Stalin, Mao Tse-tung, Caligula and other evil, repulsive figures of history in the bowels of Hell.  Hopefully, Moammar Qaddafi, Fidel Castro and Kim Il-Jong will soon join these madmen.

In a very dangerous and risky “kill operation” covert mission ordered by President Obama, that culminated in a forty minute shootout at an armed million-dollar fortress in Pakistan, a team of Navy SEALs took bin Laden out with two bullets to the head yesterday. His body has been quickly buried at sea which will eliminate any chance of his brainwashed followers from being able to pay tribute to him at a physical gravesite. Now if we can capture the #2 man soon, hopefully al Qaeda will crumble like a house of cards. We know it won’t be that easy though.

Still, it’s been ten long years, and most of us gave up hope of ever capturing bin Laden alive. Instead of living in caves like we had always thought, it turns out this spawn of Satan was living in luxury. That’s typical, though, for madmen like this — living in mansions while ordering poor, easily-brainwashed followers to go do their dirty work, all done in the name of religion. Well, something tells us that Allah does not want bin Laden.

Thousands of people in New York City and Washington, DC poured out onto the streets late last night, and into the early morning hours, to celebrate bin Laden’s death. They have waited for ten years to finally get their revenge, but it was definitely sweet. Unfortunately, it can never bring back loved ones that perished in the Twin Towers, the Pentagon and Flight 93, not to mention all the soldiers who died in battle trying to locate and capture bin Laden during that time, but at least justice has been served.

President Obama is to be commended, as well as the special fighting team that risked their lives to kill bin Laden, for pulling off this major coup. Coming only days after we almost captured Qaddafi, but instead killed a son and grandchildren of his, this has been a very good week for Obama and for America. It is good for us as a nation after all the pain and suffering we have gone through over the last several years with the collapse of the economy, futile wars raging, prices of gas and food rising astronomically, recession, lack of jobs and little reason to cheer or feel hopeful about our future — not to mention, of course, the events that took place on Sept. 11, 2001 that were the direct result of bin Laden’s orders. This event may not right all the wrongs of the past ten years, or for 9/11, specifically, but it can help us to feel patriotic once again, as well as bring some needed closure to that horrible day that will forever be a stain on our national psyche.

It may have taken far too long to capture bin Laden, but in the end he got what was coming to him. Let us never forget all the innocent lives that he took from us far too early. May this piece of shit rot in Hell for all eternity!
